Barron's featured four analysts this weekend that gave not only their top picks for the next 12 months, but also their top shorts. Niles named K-tel International (KTEL), which has had a terrific run since announcing its online music store. Erika Klauer, of BT Alex Brown, recommended shorting Amazon.com(AMZN), the online bookseller. Peck, chose Dell Computer (Dell) as his short. He said he believes the company won't be able to avoid the fallout of the personal computer price crunch. Van Dorsten chose At Home (ATHM),operator of a cable-based Internet access services as his big short.
