Let me add that the way earnings warnings are occurring I wouldn't
bet against $46 instead of $50 earnings. Then recalculate your
expected "earnings" in the stock market.

FWIW my take on the present situation is that a rounding top seems
to be forming. I suspect that the next market decline will not be
anything like the Big Crash that so many are expecting. A slow,
grinding bear market seems more likely to me. This scenario is
filled with rally failures based on one hope after another of a true
turnaround that just doesn't quite materialize.
