Great idea. If the kefir was in any of our supermarket chains here in Fla. (Publix,Winn Dixie,Food Lion) I'd be telling people. I'd even volunteer to be the pourer for a kefir sampling day just to see the expressions of their faces. Especially kids.
We're going to try and get the BP through our health store. Dying to try it since people who have say it's better than the low fat kefir. In the GalaGen annual report they have 2 pictures. In both, BP looks much thinner than the regular kefir. Kind of like thick milk. Maybe Lway added more fruit concentrate to give it even more flavor. GalaGen said they wanted a superior tasting product.

The following are from LWAY/GGEN PR's, GGEN's annual report and other sources of info. Key words have been capitalized.
LOOK FOR MORE PRODUCTS IN THE SECOND HALF OF 1998.

5/14/97 Lway/Ggen collaboration PR:
"We are in the process of significantly increasing our production capability to meet the needs of PRODUCTS that we are developing through this collaboration.

Fall 1997 Dairy Foods magazine writeup on Kefir/Colostrum Beverage:
"We feel this is a revolutionary product (BP) that is going to pave the way for OTHER unique dietary supplements, which WE ARE CURRENTLY developing."

Galagen's 1997 Annual Report:
"Basic's Plus is the FIRST product to emerge from the collaboration with Lifeway Foods and contains active kefir cultures and GalaGen's Proventra."

5/14/98 Ggen PR:
"BP is the FIRST nutritional product to be launched from the Chicago-based Lifeway Food, Inc. and GalaGen Inc. collaboration."

A while back I brought up "The Kefir License" which I found in Ggen's 10K. In their annual report it describes it. Land O' Lakes under the agreement (5 years) will receive royalties for kefir-based products sold. They have the 400,000 cows so they want their piece.
