DynamicWeb Cures Healthcare EDI Coalition's Need For Internet-Based Electronic Commerce

Company Offers Internet Catalog Services to Streamline Electronic Communications Between HealthCare Suppliers and Customers

FAIRFIELD, N.J., May 18 /PRNewswire/ -- DynamicWeb Enterprises Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: DWEB - news), an Internet electronic commerce (EC) and electronic data interchange (EDI) software and service provider, today announced that the company has entered a preferred business partnership with the Healthcare EDI Coalition (HEDIC) to promote DynamicWeb's EC and EDI services to its members. The terms of the deal are undisclosed.

"The healthcare industry is moving rapidly into a total electronic commerce environment and needs EC providers that have adopted the uniform standards for automated transactions and establishing open electronic communications between all trading partners," said Garren E. Hagemeier, Executive Director of HEDIC. "DynamicWeb's services operate within the adopted HEDIC EDI standards and will enable HEDIC members to quickly and cost- effectively implement an EC initiative or expand existing EC systems to reach more trading partners in the healthcare industry."

HEDIC is co-marketing DynamicWeb's EC services to its members in all marketing materials and sponsored events. The partnership supports HEDIC's mission to provide leadership in improving the efficiency of business interaction through the collaborative development and optimization of the EDI/EC infrastructure in the Healthcare industry. As a preferred business partner DynamicWeb supports HEDIC's uniform EC standards and open communications architecture and participates in industry efforts to normalize and expand the use of EC.

"HEDIC has established a goal for the healthcare industry to facilitate the electronic interconnection within the trading partner community by Year 2001," said Steve Oakie, Vice President, Sales and Marketing for DynamicWeb. "The partnership between HEDIC and DynamicWeb is a natural fit since our EC Managed Services reduce the costs and complexities of EDI while our Web-based catalog services allow small- to medium-size suppliers and customers to communicate via the Net."
