Along the same lines one of the audience members asked Akins why there was so little ownership by management. He acknowledged that this was a concern but explained that it took the company so many years to become profitable that they had to keep diluting their shares in order to keep the company going.

I believe he said the company was founded in 1986 and back then there weren't many (if any) applications for their technology beyond the military so you can imagine how much faith these employees have had all these years. I hope they sold some of their shares north of 40 and bought back in the teens.

I've put Cymer on my "If I could only have five stocks what would they be" list.
