mike-- oh, i missed that. wish i had seen it. thats one of the things i dont like about forbes. it reminds me of mikey dell whoring for MSFT before the senate<G>. barrett, the new guy at INTC, should be good. he gets it. you know, i told people about intel missing the sub 1k market last summer, and no one got it. whats so funny is that no one realizes the real winner in the game is AMD. they dont depend on the huge margins that have made intc such a success. i really feel sorry for NSM. when even low rent retail clone shops stop using the chips, you know youre in trouble. oh well, the more things change the more they stay the same. one of the things that someone said to me about INTC last year was that they were concentrating on high margin products. of course, they didnt understand that the low end always eats the high end eventually. as i recall, focus on the high end was amelios strategy at apple, wasnt it<G>? good luck to all, trey
