Michael,

Here is an interesting UNIX - vs. NT article:

kirch.net

Most of it details the insufficiencies in NT that we already
know, but it does contain some memorable quotes from some
disgruntled NT customers, many of whom have settled for
Linux on Intel as an alternative. It also contains a price
comparison between MSFT Exchange Mail Server & Solaris showing
that MSFT's inelegant per-seat license fee for their e-mail
service is more than twice the cost of Solaris for only 200
users. Oddly enough, the guy who compiled the information in
this article claims he is an "NT" consultant.

I think we need a "Consumer Reports" for the computer industry
that can detail price/feature/performance comparisons without
the typical bias shown by industry rags.

cheers,

cherylw
