Bill: On Yourdon's move to NM. There's no doubt the move was based on his view of what will happen in y2k. I attended his talk here in Berkeley, CA, and had a chance to talk with him afterwards. His view is that NYC will resemble Beirut because of y2k.

Now, your sentence "If you're implying that he is escaping some sort of Y2K apocalypse, then its time you considered some stronger medication" is crafty and leaves you with an out. You deny that there will be a Y2K apocalypse, so how could he be escaping something that will not exist? Fine. But if you deny that Yourdon's move to NM is based on Yourdon's perception that NYC will be in a dire mess because of y2k, then you're flat out wrong.
