Doubt Asian Hegemony will happen.

First you need to resolve border disputes (unresolvable except by force), Kashmir (unresolvable except by force), Tibet (unresolveable except by force).

Say here is an idea whose time may have come. What if India and China form a great alliance in the region,economic,political and military?
Just over 4 1/2 years or so, when Rao was the PM, both India and China leaned towards an economic coalition. Of course that would threaten the power of Washington and China was blackmailed in to backing out from the deal. Trump card were MFN for China will be tossed out of the window and other sanctions.
