John, they announced this upgrade on CNBS today, to their usual fanfare. Fortunately, Bill Fleckenstein was their guest and he started laughing. "Just do the arithmetic," he said. "Twice as many DRAM chips will be produced next year as the pc market needs. Niles is wrong as he has been wrong so often in the past."

Now Fleck tells it like it is, but he did pull his punches a bit. Had I been there, I might have noted that Robbers and Steals 'Em just happens to be the banker who suckered a lot of folks into MU converts at the top. Or, that Dan "The Queen of Da" Niles is something of a joke in the analytical community. He is the one who congratulates MU at conference calls for "a great quarter," even when they post a loss. Of course, I would then have had my patootie sued off, which is a lot of suing. <G>
