One problem with your outlook You forgot to calculate how many of those 3.X customers are enterprise customers and how many are small scale server and mid-sized companies who buy their servers to run apps. It is precisely at the departmental level at the enterprises, and amongst the small and mid sized companies that Novell 3.X has been replaced with NT. The figures I posted don't lie. These customers formed the basis for Novell's past dominance of the network software industry. These people are all gone already. So where is the growth to come from? More upgrades from the remaining Novell enterprise customers? Old Netware customers still sitting on the fence and being forced to buy! That's a strategy for turning around the company?
