Good analogy. Not sure why it should get any R-E-S-P-E-C-T or mojo going until there's a reason (other than the hope of the longs) for it to do so. This may not happen until earnings are announced, but I see more anxiety rather than anticipation leading up to this.

Technically, the last several weeks has looked like consolidation in the 25 1/5 - 27 range, rather than a bottom. Since the direction of entry into this range was down, the likelihood is that the exit will be a continuation in the same direction. We don't go oversold until we get below 23 3/8.
