There are several web locations where you can get anywhere from one to three years worth of historic stock price quotes (high low close volume) for free. You can download the data on almost any stock you are interested in, indexes also.

You can find the locations for these sites at:
pipeline.com
Look at the page index and select Free historic stock price sources.

Jan and Ben,

Thanks for the replies. I actually got smeary pencil lead on my pinky from drawing up four charts on some of my biotechs. It was fun and actually instructive where I could see some of the mistakes I had made in jumping in too soon or not taking profits when I should. I believe it was in Dorsey's book that he said "An investor is a trader who got caught". Oh you bet!
