BTW, CYMI is not listed in your profile as one of your favorite stocks.

I haven't updated my list in months and I only started buying Cymer a few months ago. My first buys were around 17+, whenever that was.

Let me warn you 90% of my holdings are in technology and a majority of those are in telecommunications and networking.

So, for what it's worth, besides CYMI, I would keep:

TXN --- world leader in DSPs, many of which will power telecommunications equipment

NN --- world leader in ATM for the backbone, including all the switches carriers need for highspeed bandwidth--- carrier class solutions and experience on a global level

CIEN --- world leader in DWDM --- fibre optics for long haul networks

CSCO and ASND --- tied --- leaders in networking gear --- CSCO's the gorilla but ASND's a scrappy contender with lots of upside

SSPIF --- leading third-party DSP systems house with solutions for wireless base stations, radar/sonar, surveillance, and RAS; spending money to expand, but good top line growth and the market's hardly started (waiting for C6x). If I had to dump all my money into one, I'd probably choose this b/c it has almost no down side and once the C6x is out and their expansions absorbed, there's enormous upside.

Okay, I cheated and gave you six besides Cymer. I have almost 20 in my portfolio and it's not easy narrowing them down.

As you can see, I like leaders in areas where barriers to entry are high. What's not evident is that I choose companies by management, as well. Cymer fits all my criteria. Warning: I'm often in early.

Later --
