I totally disagree..I have gotten commitments of 215,000 shares to be moved from Margin to Cash. This will make a big difference on available stock to short. It may take time, but the stocks volume will really slow down or pop.. up or down..with a lot of volume in the next few days..

It does make a difference.

Regards
Don

Are insider's shares precluded from being loaned for shorting? The basis of this squeeze attempt is the the short interest is very close to the float. So any substantial buying should cause a squeeze. But just moving shares to one's cash account will only work if the only shares available for loan for shorting are in the float.

But if the insider's shares are being held in margin accounts then can't the brokerage house just loan them out?
