Qwest is mentioned in the editorial page of today's (May 18) Wall Street Journal.

It talks about mergers going on between the telcos and mentions "the new Intels and Microsofts will have names like Worldcom, Qwest, Level 3, TCG, TCI, IXC, Williams, Windstar, Iridium and Teledesic".

One other quote: "The only hope for telephone companies is to raise enough capital through mergers for a massive overhaul into high-capacity lines and Internet protocol switches".
