NW and all: I just got back from a trip where I had a two hour layover in Houston. There was a special supplement to the business section in the Sunday Houston Chronicle honoring the Top 100 companies in the Houston area. Compaq received the award for the "Company of the Year." The featured article was about Compaq and quoted EP as saying the inventory problems were being worked out and would be worked out. The article also quoted another executive as saying that after the last batch of of internal sales reports were circulated they were "high-fiving in the halls." All in all it was a very positive article which to be fair also covered recent problems the company was having. I just got the impression that everyone was still very positive and confident that the company was back on track. Robbie
