They know what they are doing. Strange as that may sound. Before the dust settles Microsoft will be 2 companies and Bill Gates will be out of it. The uSoft thread has to be crying really badly right about now. "Oh no, they are trying to beat up our Billy"...

ITS THOSE HUGE DOWN DAYS FROM MSFT THAT WEIGHS THE TECHS DOWN ON CERTAIN DAYS.I WISH IT WOULD FIND A PLACE WHERE ITS ALL FACTORED IN..
Then we could let the other bellweather techs inch the Nasdaq up .If msft was down 1/16 today then the naz would be in the green..Msft has a support level and when it find solid ground then the bleeding will stop..Even if its 20 pts down..One bad day and get it over..I hope that makes sense

... However, as it has done so often in the past, Dell Computer could give the sector a much needed boost of confidence as early as Monday afternoon... Company due to report earnings on Tuesday... Street looking for a gain of $0.42, but based on DELL's history profit to be closer to $0.45-$0.46... So far, comments from company give investors no reason to assume that forward looking statements won't also be positive... If they live up to recent history, Dell's earnings news will take some of the sting out of the HWP debacle... A real bullish outlook will also go a little ways toward healing the battered chip stocks...
