Expand your vision.

If and when the public can own an inexpensive computer that performs instantaneous verbal translation from one language to another thus facilitating worldwide communication on a personal level, while projecting a 3D or holographic image of the person being talked to, then I might agree.

I think it's safe to say that this capability is well beyond today's technologies.

I also think it's a safe bet that Intel will play a significant role in getting us there.

"Exceeding the needs of the public" is a moving target and is highly related to the the new capabilities that new technologies bring to bear on the public consciousness.
