Well Jhild first one must prove the monopoly exist...not just say it does. Second don't confuse illegal business practices with being a...or having a monopoly...two different things completely.

Now if it is determined that a monopoly does in fact exist, it then must be determined in what market areas and products...then it must be decided how to break up the company.

A simplistic approach to breaking MSFT up could be to separate it into pieces each handling different functions such as...

* Operating systems.

* Software Applications.

* Hardware.

* Communications.

* Money counting.

* Nerd patrol.

* DOJ Defense Fund.

* Mansion Maint.

* Billy's double patty Whopper supply.
