Wytec Incorporated Announces a New Bi-directional Broadband Wireless System

Causeway2 is a Wireless, Bi-Directional, Point to Multi-Point System For

Delivering High Speed Internet Services, Telephony, Video and T-1/E-1 Connectivity in Licensed Bands from 18 to 42 Ghz, Including US LMDS A Block,

B Block and 38/39 GHz Spectrum Allocations

SANTA CLARA, Calif., May 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, Wytec, Incorporated introduced the Causeway2 Broadband Wireless System. This point to multipoint delivery system transmits and receives digital information from the network to business and residential customers. Causeway2 uses a bi-directional cellular architecture to provide Internet access, full and fractional T-1/E-1 connectivity, telephony and video services.

Causeway2 is a low cost, highly reliable method to deliver communication services to the market. To serve business customers, the Causeway2 Network Interface Unit (NIU) provides 8 POTS lines, one full or fractional E-1/T-1 and a 10 Base T/100 Base T connection. For residential customers, 2 POTS lines and a 10 Base T/100 Base T connection are provided. Also, broadcast video services or datacasting can be included for transmission to either customer set as desired. Through its manufacturing relationship with Shanghai Bell, Wytec has dramatically reduced the cost of the customer premise equipment. Thus, the telecom operator can meet the service requirements of any demographic mix at attractive price points.

System Architecture

Causeway2 features a cellular architecture with up to eight sectors and a frequency re-use pattern of one. Because of Wytec's dynamic bandwidth allocation algorithms, unused T-1 or local area network capacity is not wasted. For ease of integration with core network facilities, management of the base station and customer premise equipment is provided via SNMP. Customer usage is collected on a packet by packet basis allowing the operator the flexibility of billing for bandwidth on demand.

For the United States A or (A+B) Block, Wytec offers one or more independent OC-3 downstream channels in each sector. For B block spectrum winners, Wytec transmits two, ATM compliant, 45 Mbps downstream channels. To serve the needs of 38 GHz operators, Causeway2 provides an OC-1 channel downstream. In all three systems, the upstream carrier is 10 Mbps.

PART III
NARRATIVE

State below in reasonable detail the reasons why Form 10-K, 11-K, 20-F, 10-Q,
N-SAR, or the transition report or portion thereof, could not be filed within
the prescribed time period.

The Company is operating short-staffed due to the prior departure of a financial
executive who has not been replaced. Another key member of the financial
organization became ill during the period when this report on Form 10-Q was
being prepared, making it impossible for the Company to diligently and
thoroughly prepare the report without unreasonable effort or expense.
