AMD will announce design wins w/ HP shortly. HP earning shortfall was hurt by PC price war, and sub-1K PC. Hence, it needs lowcost K6 to address this sweet spot. Also, AMD will announce K6-2 which supports 3Dnow by way of MSFT Direct X 6.0, and AGP on 5/27 at CeBit in Europe.
AMD is currently on track to ship 2.5 - 2.75 MM K6 by the end of 2Q98. With the ASP of 200$ This will add at least $100 MM revenue - more than projected. In the last CC, Jerry projected only 2 MM K6 to be produced by the end of Q2. Thus, there is an excellent chance that AMD will beat estimate this qtr, if not almost breaking even.

AMD has no demand problem associated w/ K6 currently. It ships every K6 it can produce.
