[Teligent Selects Frontier for Carrier Deal]

ROCHESTER, N.Y., May 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Frontier Corporation today announced that it has been selected by Teligent Inc. for a long distance carrier services agreement. The carrier agreement calls for Frontier to provide Teligent with wholesale long distance, calling card, toll-free and conference calling services.

Teligent is a new competitive local exchange carrier (CLEC) in the communications industry. The Vienna, Va.-based company will serve small- and medium-sized business customers through its own digital wireless network.

Frontier Carrier Services President Anthony J. Cassara said, "Teligent combines a solid business plan with an experienced management team, propelling them into the forefront as one of the most visible CLECs in the marketplace."

Frontier is taking advantage of the industry's tremendous growth in integrated wholesale communications services. New participants, including Internet Service Providers (ISPs), RBOCs, international players and CLECs like Teligent, are capitalizing on Frontier's ability to add value in this market.

"From our industry-leading back office support system and robust product set, to our national fiber optic network affording customers with unrivaled speed and reliability, Frontier is uniquely-positioned in the marketplace to offer valuable, bundled integrated products and services," added Cassara.
