Company Press Release

ConSyGen Announces Expansion of Software Conversion Services

PHOENIX--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 18, 1998--ConSyGen Inc. (NASDAQ:CSGI - news) Monday announced that it is
now offering an automated COBOL upgrade service in addition to its existing automated software conversion service.

This service will be supplied as a special project, or as an additional service within other conversion projects. The service also
provides Year 2000 clients with the option to upgrade their COBOL to millennium-compliant versions.

Ron Bishop, ConSyGen's president and chief executive officer, stated: ''As a specialist company providing automation of
manually-intensive and error-prone information technology tasks, the offering of automated COBOL upgrades is a logical
extension of our services.

''ConSyGen has developed a powerful automated software conversion technology which preceded our emphasis on Year
2000 conversions, and which will be one of our continuing major business emphases once the Year 2000 market has played
itself out.''

He added, ''This service addition is extremely timely for Year 2000 clients. One of the areas that has been overlooked in the
concentration on date correction projects is that the COBOL version that the client is using may itself not be Year
2000-compliant.

''In some instances, hardware manufacturers are using Year 2000 as an opportunity to terminate support on old COBOL
compilers, which means that the client has a double task - as well as making their dates right, they also must upgrade their
COBOL versions to one that is compliant.

''We are working with clients who have up to three different COBOL versions running simultaneously; converting these to a
consistent version can be a massive task. Performing the COBOL upgrade as part of a date conversion project provides
clients with a cheap, efficient resolution of both problems.

''It also demonstrates that ConSyGen's technology has positioned it to be actively engaged in providing automated software
conversion services even after the Year 2000 opportunities are past.''

ConSyGen Inc. is a Phoenix-based software company that provides conversion/correction services with its proprietary
technologies. The company's ConSyGen 2000(SM) software is an automated toolset that automatically identifies and corrects
dates in both source code and data to be compliant for the Year 2000 and beyond.

The company's ConSyGen Conversion(SM) toolset can automatically convert software to run on a different hardware
platform. For example, software running on older BULL, IBM, Unisys, etc., mainframes can automatically be converted to run
on new open system or client-server platforms (often called downsizing).

or ConSyGen Conversion toolsets or the company's other software products; market acceptance of the company's products;
