There are some people who do not embrace fraud

For a company represenative to say that demand is strong is not fraud. It is most likely a good description of Demand.
If that drives the stock up, so be it.
If the company reacts unfavorable to a furture report, the represenative has done nothing wrong.

If the represenative knew the EPS number would be substiantialy below expectations, that would be fraud. The guy had no clue at the time of the statement what numbers would be.
He only described Demand.
I am only pointing out that CPQ and HWP both saw strong end user demand. But that Demand did not translate into profits.
