As to actual damages to consumers, I would expect consequences to follow theory in due course.

It's always good to compare theory with reality. The theory says that you should be spending more for Windows and getting less (or, spending more for the same thing).

Oops! Maybe you need a new theory.

Wrong! It was MSFT that led the way and made its browser free to consumers. NSCP only bent and starting allowing consumers to have their browser for free when MSFT showed the ungreedy way to reach consumers.
