It's the nefarious international ilk conspiracy, Reg. First we go after Bill, then you.

You get mugged, you go to the police. They check out your story. They find some evidence to back you up, some means of identifying the perp, they take the evidence to the DA. The DA thinks he can take the case to court, he files charges. The DA's not into prosecuting mugging, like old Rick, he comes up with some theory about how mugging is good for us all.

Cheers, Dan.

Excuse me?!!
What is anti-competitive and undemocratic of Netscape.
That they did not agree to this?:

--In May 1995, Microsoft proposed to Netscape that Netscape's browser, now
used by 60 percent of computer owners, become the sole browser for those with
non-Windows operating systems while Microsoft would supply the sole browser
for computers operated by Windows. Windows, however, is the operating system
on 90 percent of the nation's personal computers, and Netscape rejected the
non-competition proposal.

Reggie,

>>You can't be serious. Do you think that NSCP's retaining Mr. Bork adn Mr. Dole was consummated on the exchange of M&M's with peanuts, or some other soft dolalr compensation.

Of course Rick Rule has since left all his political anti-trust contacts behind and works with Microsoft solely for the benefit of us all.

>>Tell me Norm, do you think it was a coincidence that Gary Reback's letters, Dole's lobbying and bork's whatever he does, just happened to coincide with this sudden and unprecedented action by the DOJ?

Hey, in the Windows Experience everything is a coincidence. 60% of the users prefer Netscape yet IE is the most popular and by coincedence Microsoft sponsored-polls always show this. How about the coincedental "grass-roots" uprising and Bill's new patriotism. How about Bill's coincedental memory-loss during the Congressional hearing when asked 15 times whether or not ISP-contracts prevented ISP's from displaying Netscape advertising.

There probably are lobbying dollars moving around but on both sides noless. If Slade Gorton holds any shares of Microsoft then he should be banned from the investigation, right? Payment comes in many forms...

Cheers,

Norm
