Re SI DELL Thread shareholder meeting get-together ALL, I have arranged with the Austin North Drury Inn & Suites for special rates for the 16th and 17th of July. If you are coming to the meeting, or just want to say 'Hello', be sure to drop by. The decision was very close, and went to Drury Inn because DELL is a "Preferred Corporate Account". Please note that there are TWO Drury Inns, quite close to each other, so be sure to specify Austin North (East side of I35 North of Hwy 290) Here is the data: TEL: 512-467-9500 Our Group # (Silicon Investor) is: # 2047 I have talked to Mr. Garza, the manager, and he is extending us the same rate for additional nights at either end (15th or 18th) Rates (data do not include tax): Suite -- 1 or 2 persons, King or 2 Queen $78.95 King Deluxe -- 1 0r 2 persons, $71.95 King Standard -- 1 or 2 persons, $69.95 Standard Double -- 1 or 2 persons, $63.95 Suites and King Deluxe rooms contain refrigerator, in-room coffee and microwave. Drury Inn has pool, laundry, fitness room. Prices include a "quickstart" breakfast except bacon and eggs: cereals, fruit juice, Belgian waffles, pastries, etc. IHOP is within a block for those who prefer more. There are also several excellent restaurants within a block. Prices include free cocktails from 5:30 - 7:30 PM. Prices include Airport shuttle. I will arrange for downtown shuttle as soon as we can verify the number coming. Taxi downtown costs about $7.00, though I hope to be able to arrange group transportation, so that no one has to drive in an unfamiliar city. If possible, I would appreciate it if as many can book there as need rooms. I think it would be super if we could make this an annual thing, and we will have better pricing clout in the future if we can promise a larger number of rooms. Am looking forward to meeting all of you. For those who do not wish to stay at the Drury with us, I recommend the Holiday Inn on the Lake, which has free airport shuttle and a free shuttle downtown, or the Sheraton Four Points (512-836-8520), which is on I35 about 1/2 mile from the Drury.
