All Y2K companies were way down. The truth is that TAVA's earnings were not that great. However, the potential for embedded chip solutions has never been greater. This stock has been incredibly volitile for the last year. It is not for the faint of heart.

What needs to be answered is how many reports are being generated from the data base, and how many utilities, and hospitals, medical equipment distributors, are contacting tava. Clearly, companies with factory floors are calling.

I believe that the conference call gave an indication that the data base is being accessed by existing customers in sufficient quantities to drive future earnings.

IMHO, the focus on cd sales is misplaced. CD's provide a framework for accessing the data base. Selling 5000 cd's to companies that request 10 reports, is the same as selling 500 cd's to companies that request 280 reports. If my numbers are off, I apologize in advance.

Steve: I thought today's action was a good entry point to buy some TAVA shares for my income account. I plan to generate income by writing covered calls (in that account). If my projections about calls premiums are reasonably close, TAVA should generate a standstill return of 30% or better, and better if exercised. Not bad for an income objective. As for today's weakness, it looked to me like a large position being liquidated rather hurriedly. There could be many reasons for that. A likely one is that TAVA will not report numbers again until autumn. That's a long time for fast money to hang around. We probably had fast money coming in before the CC, and since then, we've been seeing it leave.
