For instance, what other OS will run on IBM proprietary platforms like AS400, ES9000 or S390? And I had to listen to how you can't put a different UNIX OS on a DEC machine or HWP. You buy the hardware and you're stuck with the software. Except with the almighty intel platform where we can switch OS at will? And us consumers can buy what we want! Wow. What a can of worms.
