So-once again, I am annoyed as a consumer because I really want one but can't find any. I am annoyed as an investor because I fear apple might not be keeping up with demand. I mean, it's not like they didn't know for months and months and months that these things needed to be ready. On the other hand, I'm excited because these puppies seem to be flying out the doors. I just hope apple isn't repeating its previous blunders...... I'm delighted to see that the PowerBooks are selling well, but as you mentioned, disappointed that they were out of stock. However, didn't Jobs say that it might be late June before supply gets caught up with demand for the G3 PowerBooks? I still think Apple is in better shape in this regard than in days of old. Remember a few years ago when Apple had over $1 billion in backorders? I don't think the problem is anywhere close to that magnitude today. Have you considered using the Apple Store to buy yours? I think they were quoting about two weeks for shipping a G3 to your door.
