Either way it doesn't matter, and it could be a 'taxable' stock dividend. With the long term gains that this stock should provide, we all will need to hire accountants (if we don't already have them) :-)

The link I posted earlier also has this paragraph. I think letting your accountant figure it out (need to find one for myself) is probably the best course of action.
