I use Super Charts 4.0 which costs around $300. Seems to do everything I need. I don't know what Doug uses, but I would like feedback from some others as well.

I use Metastock 6.5. Like it but don't love it. I know many on the thread use Parity which costs less than $100 and does all you will need. Ask bdog what his opinion is as I know he uses both Parity and Metastock.
