If you look at company's 10-Q report dated on 5/8/98,

Total stockholders' Equity = 395,066,000
Outstanding Shares = 48,323,000

you can come out Book Value = 395,066 / 48,323 = $8.18
Also, Cash / Sh. = 104,979 / 48,323 = $2,17

Our friend at Seagate told the market over the weekend the worst is over for this industry. Tomorrow could be a lot nicer, in my opinion, if that 2.8 qualification were to be announced. That would be within the two week window that John mentioned to the conference and to me on the phone.

Cross your fingers that the Bald Man does not get his wish. Hey, if he does, his average will be $0.11455 higher than mine. That makes me feel better about not buying it all at $10.50.

The S&P news does not look good. But book value is near. I expect that it will go down in the A.M. pre-FF resolution and then, especially if we get an announcement, it will start to rally.

IMHO, Dennis
