CIMA,
all mitigating factors taken into consideration, the management was too optimistic in establishing their own report deadline. The world has know about the effects of El Nino since last fall, main effects have been off the coast of Peru for a long time.
And yes, the roads suck, but management knows that and should have allowed sufficient time for themselves. Okay, they missed March 31st, who forced them into revising to an April 30th deadline??
Management has shown a lack of common sense, you should not make promises you cannot keep. They would have been better off making a statement that they were waiting for Guidos numbers for an undetermined amount of time and then the report would be released a week/2 weeks from then.

I am not expecting the best and the brightest to be hanging around a third world unproven gold mine but I really think they could have done better than they have in providing accurate information to the stockholders.

CIMA, I thank you for all of the information you have provided on this thread, you kept me from running for the hills. Good luck to us all. -
Colleen

CIMA, the reason Guy Murrel told me this morning that the report probably won't be out by tomorrow, is that the numbers had not come in from Bolivia as of this morning. He did not know when and/or how they would be delivered to the Denver office.

If they are not faxed or emailed they will take longer to get here and the report must be studied for legal reasons prior to release. I intend to call Guy every weekday morning to get an update and will post the news I feel is appropriate on this thread. Hopefully no later than 9am.
