I try not to be too negative, after all I am positive on the long term future of Informix. It is just that I can be critical when I am an "outsider" evaluating the evidence that is presented to me by a company. I may be overly critical, and even negative due to this stance. But this posture has kept me from trouble. I look not for what is right, but what is wrong. After I decide that what I find wrong is still workable, then I look for what is right. Informix is where I made my mistake when I did not act on what I was seeing develop before the facts came out and the stock dropped. Toward the end it became very apparent to me that trouble was on the horizon. So what did I do?? Nothing! I still find it difficult to believe what I did not do. So this time I have not paid attention to what I was seeing in this critical frame of mind, I was burned.

I am long with an investment of over 1,000 shares purchased at a cost basis of 19. I am attempting to purchase insurance by writing deep in the money CALLs. If I was through with this stock, I would be selling instead. This thought did occur to me due to what I see as the near future of Informix. However, if I can hedge my entire position, I will keep the stock.
