Neil, thanks for an interesting table between ServerNet/FC.

<<<Max Nodes Supported
SeverNet= 1 million
FC= 16 million>>>

FC uses A/L or switches to interconnect. I wonder what ServerNet's configuration would look like. The upper limit of nodes is kind of meaningless.

Neil,

<<<The Morgan Keegan report shows a table comparing ServerNet to FC on the following
variables:

Speed [ Mbit/sec]
ServerNet= 2,800
FC= 4,000

Distance Between Nodes [ meters ]
ServerNet= 30
FC= 10,000>>>

FC does show clear advantage over ServerNet. I guess Compaq is anxious in delivering their version of clustering solution now. The distance limit alone will prevent any proliferation of ServerNet IMHO. Thanks again for the report.
