Luc,
I don't think people see Compaq as an Internet stock like Amazon.com. Yahoo, AOL, or KTel. They can see Dell in that light plus they make money.

NW's reference must be to the fact that internet stocks move independent of the underlying business value. By any other measure CPQ is WAY stronger in the internet. They have more than 50% of NT web servers, more than 30% of ALL web servers, and that's without DEC. CPQ, DEC and HWP are all ahead of Dell in this market (as is SUN). CPQ continues to suck up the competition on internet infrastructure and expertise, sooner or later someone will notice.
I think all of the market share issues are hidden by the lack of earnings, if CPQ changes that perception it will rocket.
