private threads by invitation only A double-edged sword, that. After all, isn't one of the principal virtues of these services the distribution of knowledge? Wouldn't difficulty in getting access to more knowledgeable minds make membership in SI less attractive to lots of people? Also, how would someone new to LGND gain admittance to, or even hear about, such a thread? Who would do the inviting? Would there be a vote of the insiders? Wouldn't it be better to give the power to each member to screen out messages from posters they detest?
