CDRD - I have watched this stock for a year after shorting for 8 months (June - February ). Be careful here unless you want a long wait.

Why? CDRD doesn't have to prove anything except their fundraising acumen for two years. They have licenses, financing, satellites scheduled to launch, new offices in NY and some programming commitments. So far they have been very adept at dancing with their convertible preferred holders to dodge the death spiral. Lucent will manufacture chips for their receiver gizmo.

Personally, I doubt CDRD's system will work or that it will make money if it does. But you are fighting the tape right now with a stock which just as easily hit 50 by next year as 20. The latest up channel shows no sign of breaking.

Do your own DD and decide. Just tossing in my experience after shorting at 15 and 23 before covering back at 13. (Not even Roger likes CDRD as a short).

tj: i shorted CDRD, but I am aware this is a dangerous stock right now. I didn't short much so I can afford to wait this puppy go back where it belongs. It is amazing how the stock goes up on these deals with content providers which mean absolutely nothing in terms of the viability of the business idea/technology.

On MOT: I don't follow it. Heard lot's of bad things about it though. Our friend Cramer used to hate it with a passion. IMO anything with Asia exposure is a short not a long these days as money managers start to seek shelter again in stocks like BFT, drugs, etc.
