LT became obsessed with fears of the decline and fall of the overall market. As a tribute to his leaving, people remaining on this thread held a memorial discussion on the decline and fall of U.S. civilization and its money system. While I suppose either or both are possible, the simpler explanation is that when people become afraid their minds inflate and expand the fear. It may take some time for oil prices and earnings to redeem the stock prices of drilling-related companies. Then again, give us a day or two of strong price moves up, and people will be planning for the next trip to the moon. Baird
