We aren't going to help anything by launching a war against Dow Jones: no way, no how. Yesterday, I expressed my own concerns about the DJ article, but was willing in the end to tally it up as a mixed blessing. Let's focus on the wide exposure the article gives us and hope that it encourages additional investors and journalists to begin their own DD. Since the article mentioned SI so prominently, I think we have an added responsibility to keep the tone on this board as elevated as possible. Dow Jones practically invited the rest of the world to check out the bulletin boards on SI and Yahoo. IMO, that means we have to clean up our act immediately. Let's focus on the basics of why we're here: the DD we've done collectively over the past several weeks, our excitement about the business plan, our confidence in the management and strategic partners. In short, let's give eavesdroppers a reason to take us and PNLK seriously. The only kind of response to DJ that would be appropriate, I think, is a short, tightly argued "letter to the editor" that adds information to the article. This should be eminently polite and rational, not a rampage expressing our sense of injustice. Yes, the article failed to give PNLK the credit it is due. But what's done is done, and we just cannot possibly help the situation by calling DJ incompetent or by questioning their objectivity and credibility. If the "letter to the editor" seems like a good idea, I think we'd do well to nominate one person to draft a letter on our behalf. We don't want to spam Dow Jones! Personally, if he would be willing to take on the challenge, I would nominate Dr. Epstein. He has already shared a couple of well argued, cogent letters with us, and I think that kind of response would be appropriate in this case, also. I can't emphasize enough that the DJ piece is likely to bring a whole host of eavesdroppers by today to watch us and consider what we're doing here. And, because of the tone of the article, they'll be looking for a bunch of hype artists who are trying to mislead investors. We have a responsibility, today and here on out, to demonstrate that we are capable of serious DD and serious investing. Let's make an opportunity of the DJ article and contribute in the best way available to us: by keeping our cool and offering newcomers some quality discussion about our company and its long-term prospects.
