>> Amazon's Associates Program<< - All these posts about the slick and innovative ways to market products on the net just reinforce what has been pretty obvious all along - that any new angle developed by any one website can quickly be copied to a hundred others. Everything is so transparent on the net that if BKS has a brilliant idea on Tuesday, Amazon can copy it on Friday. And vice versa. That's why competition will be very intense , and the market will be driven almost entirely by price, and somewhat by in-stock items and the ability to deliver reliably (service). I don't see Amazon having any particular edge here, and with the shop-bots showing the lowest prices , how can margins be increased. It is a fantasy to think that Amazon will make good money in this commodity-pricing slugfest. The stock is probably overpriced here by a factor of ten. Good luck to all!
