JP,

Were you worried when DELL dropped from 98 1/4 on 5/13/98 to 90 on 5/15/98, or was that expected?

Isn't the gain from 90 on 5/15/98 to 97 (currently) still down 1 1/4 from the 5/13/98 high? And this 'worries' you? WHY?

Regards,

Ken

Morning Jim P.,..Re:<<As a short, seeing the stock run 9% in the 2 days before the report..>>

I wouldn't worry too much since some of the 9% could be traders playing earnings. But then again, if Dell blows away consensus estimates, there may very well be lots more Mom and Pop, hold it to the grave, type investors coming in. Or maybe that's who is buying now and you really do need to be worried.

I'm not worried since I'm not trading Dell and since the fundamentals of the industry, and Dell specifically, haven't changed significantly. IMHO

Regards,

Lee

I'm wondering how many paired puts/calls they sold/bought during the quarter. Anything more than 200,000 (20 million shares) would be positive IMO. The more the better, and the higher the put exercise price(s) the more we'll know about management's expectations.

Jim, you obviously don't understand that DELL doesn't follow the physical laws of the real world? (ggg) I do like when a stock gaps up $3 then immediately trades down. :)

Jim, if that's your "bet", why didn't you invest accordingly?
