Sterling Commerce Unveils Products E-commerce software vendor Sterling Commerce last week announced new products for establishing extranets, tracking shipments, and exchanging data with business partners. Gentran Web Suite is intended to integrate the enterprise systems of business partners behind a Web interface and to handle EDI transactions. Commerce:Tracker lets shippers, carriers, and consignees use a Web interface to check on the status of a shipment. A third package, Connect:Direct for the Web, is Java-based communications software that enables business partners using Sterling's workflow management package to link their systems.
