This is the reason CYMI instituted a shareholders' rights plan. It makes any takeover a very expensive proposition. CYMI with its strong balance sheet as many options available to it to make any hostile takeover attempt a very expensive proposition indeed. There are many large companies that would not want AMAT to consolidate to much power in the semi-equip industry and would be willing to enter into a auction scenario to prevent that.
