" In past talks with them they related many positives with their relationship with Wal-Mart.

Wal-Mart chose them to be the exclusive BTO vendor for their online division.

They still have vendor agreement to sell in stores as well as online.

They had to supply Wal-Mart a bar code for every piece of equipment that goes into computer system. Wal-Mart will use this with the BTO along with the detailed images needed to make the BTO site a Wal-Mart type success.

Wal-Mart included them with two direct adds that had links to their computers.

Wal-Mart is actively advertising their web site and AMGV is an important piece in the puzzle.
Wal-Mart wouldn't invest all this time and monies if they thought AMGV wouldn't be a perfect match for them.
They mentioned Wal-Mart takes between 9-12 months to select a vendor.

Being this will be their first attempt at a BTO I would assume Wal-Mart wants to do it right the first time. They have a lot at stake with this venture into new waters for themselves. I wouldn't think they would more ahead if they had any doubt about their relationship with AMGV. AMGV will get considerable spotlight time when the BTO is
launched online. Wal-Mart has to be very comfortable with their selection before they launch this BTO. With AMGV they are very comfortable indeed.

I see this as a win win scenario for AMGV and Wal-Mart. I hold stock in both companies so I have a double win with this program."

From a very informed investor !!! This is another long term winner, imo.

some more DD on AMGV:

American General Ventures (AMGV-BB) has a subsidiary called ACI Micro Systems who sell PC and Notebook computers under the name of AVAIL. They have been around since 1985. You can reach them at 719-548-1616 in Colorado Springs, Colorado

sec.gov
Excerpt from 10KSB 7/7/97,
In August 1995, ACI received a national vendor number from Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. authorizing the Registrant to sell computers and accessories in 1,989 of their retail stores and 245 of their supercenters. One of the reasons Wal-Mart agreed to purchase computers from the Registrant was because of its NewStart
program. The NewStart program trains welfare recipients to assemble
computers and ACI hires the successful trainee. The NewStart program reverses the trend of the welfare recipient costing the government $14,000 a year to one who is earning at least $15,000 per year and contributing to society. Wal-Mart is a community oriented company with a philosophy to buy "Made in America"
products.

As you may know Wal-Mart gives you a vendor license an then tests your
product in several stores. If all goes well they increase your expose to more and more stores. In 1996 they were scheduled to be in 40 stores and were increased by Wal-Mart to 70 stores.

The estimate was they would be in 300 Awl-Mart stores by the end of 1997.
Wal-Mart choose them to be the exclusive Built-To-Order computer for Wal-Mart web site. As a result of this they canceled sales to stores and directed their efforts to Wal-Mart Online.

AMGV computers had continually been listed as one of the top vendors for sales online for Wal-Mart since they began to sell online in June 1997.

One of the problems they experienced was they had to guarantee orders to a store that ordered computer. When store returned unsold products they had to adsorb the loss.

Usually by the time the unsold computer was returned to AMGV it was
outdated and they would suffer loss for that equipment. Many stores over stocked items and the end result was AMGV suffered the loss. When they were chosen as a vendor for Wal-Mart Online they didn't have to guarantee sale like with the stores. A order was taken over the phone or Internet and they had 3-5 days to ship computer to customer.

This system eliminated overstocking of inventory. It also eliminated getting caught with outdated equipment.

To streamline even more they outsourced the manufacturing of the computer to a company who can produce 30,000 unit per month if needed. They also outsourced the manufacturing of the laptop computer.
Wal-Mart has been very slow in developing their web site. AMGV was led to believe the transaction from store sales to BTO online would be done quickly.

I have been following AMGV since late Oct 97 and until the last 2 months it was very difficult to locate their computers online. They had it set-up that you had to go through 6 or 7 pages before you even saw a computer.

Recently Wal-Mart has redesigned the web site and its easy to navigate and very understandable. A far cry from the past.

Wal-Mart regularly highlights either their laptop or PC on the lead page for computers.

wmonline.wal-mart.com

Wal-Mart has told AMGV numerous times that the BTO was coming soon. On October 31,1997 they posted a news release that they were chosen by Wal-Mart for BTO online.

Prior to October 31, 1997 AMGV daily volume was 9,000. With this news
release the volume went to 1,017,600 low 9/32 high 1 1/32. Since this news release AMGV volume has grown to 21,200.

AMGV has given to Wal-Mart all the material they requested to list their products in a BTO system. My feelings are the BTO should be ready within 4-6 weeks.

Wal-Mart is slow and makes fewer mistakes than a lot of the competition.

The BTO will be a great asset for AMGV. Wal-Mart will process all the
orders and forward them to AMGV. Wal-Mart will absorb any losses due to bad credit cards and such. Its a win win system for AMGV.

They have tried other avenues to get their name out there.

Wal-Mart also included them when MacAfee had a banner add for 5 days on Yahoo homepage. They had a direct link to their computers from the MacAfee add.

yahoo.com

IBM approached them to use their new microprocessor and upon agreeing IBM gave them a direct link to the computers from a page on their web site plus a great deal on the microprocessor.

chips.ibm.com

INTEL has courted them to join their Technical Support Package Program.

Intel would take over their tech support and allow AMGV to streamline their tech support system and direct those energies else where. Intel had mentioned $25,000.00 seed money in talks so far. No definite plans on joining program.

They talk about other programs they are developing to enhance shareholder value. No specifics were mentioned just hinted.

The commitment that Steve Walker and his son Chris has made to AMGV is interesting.

Steve has absorb 1/2 million dollars in company debt by taking stock at $1 a share. He hasn't taken a salary or commission per corporate papers. Both of them give a lot of their time for minimal monetary results.

dljdirect.com

If you get a chance give them a call they are very personable people. I've spoken to them at least once a week since October 1997. These calls assure me along with other information gathered that I'm invested in a worth while investment with a great future.

How many small companies can tout alliances with Wal-Mart, IBM and MacAfee?

This advertising has further brought them into the public eye at no cost to thenselves.
Wal-Mart is providing them with the sole BTO for them online. IBM has
given them space on their web page and a break for buying their microprocessor chip.
MacAfee add on Yahoo homepage had a direct link to their computers.
Okay, I like this company and I believe they have a great potential through their association with the BTO on Wal-Mart Online.
