Networks Associates anounced it's own Y2000 product. At 65.00 per Node NETA should do well and they have a strong following. Just more competition for TAVA..

I am also mad as hell with TAVA. i have been buying Tava since last June, at an average price of 10 or so, but there are many here who have only recenltly been aware of this company. Why no PR from TAVA? The only excuse I have heard from them is that their clients want to work confidentially with Tava. what the hell does that mean? every credible y2k company, from IBM to CBSL release PR occasionally, just to allay the street and its investors. And Tava, so freaking special that you have to literally read (or listen) between the lines to convince one another that it is doing a damn good job(the response 'I cannot comment' said with a smile on CC has been deciphered here as "Could you feel Jenkins smiling when he said that, well, isn't that great, tava must be doing really good"; and Jenkins is too conservative to hype up the stock)? Well, I would like Jenkins to go to the Motley fool archives and listen to any of the AOL conference call and learn from Steve Case how a CEO is supposed to conduct a conference call. Yes I want hype from TAVA, some hype that is sustainable, like Iomega of 95 and Yahoo of 98. And Jenkins and Lilios, if your road show consists of impressing The Red-Chips and the Emeralds of the world, then you can kiss this stock goodbye. It has been more than one year since the Tava story started, and we still have these few, small-time analysts to show for. Iomega grabbed H and Q quickly. ANd if somebody says 'oh, but tava is no iomega, no hype please', ya you're right- there are some companies who have smart management who know what a gravy train they are riding on, and they hype it up, but their results will sustain the hype. case in point, AOL, Yahoo, Citrix, etc, etc.
even now, i think tava story is intact, but ceo and tava pr must do a better job at PR. I don't consider TAVA to be 'conservative' and 'cautious', i just consider them to extremely passive and mellow (is Jenkins a 'deadhead'?)
