Henry -

You should stop wasting your time on reading the tape. Not that I know how to do it
myself, but you ALWAYS make posts like these and it RARELY if EVER presages a
significant (or more importantly LASTING) move in the stock. According to your
posts "big boys" are always falling over themselves to buy into this stock - but
somehow the stock has remained in a trading range for 2 years. And they never sell.

This stock will not break out until they have significant results in a BIG indication or
make significant profits. Look at EVERY OTHER major biotech company and this has
been what has happened. Why will LGND be different?

Targretin in type II diabetes is the only thing I can see that could cause it to break out.
Cancer drugs tend to ramp up slowly, so it will be hard to tell initially if Targretin is
going to be the next Taxol. Maybe it will be - but it won't be reflected in the stock until
that trajectory is clear.

I find it interesting that you would not speak to my remark that Ligand blundered when
they promised an NDA and did not deliver. There is no way to spin that positively -
they promised something and did NOT deliver.

It proves your consistent unwillingness to demonstrate any balance. And it is your
unconditional cheerleading for this stock significantly undermines the credibility of your
thorough and very useful knowledge of this company's science.

You give somebody like tonyt SO MUCH to ridicule, that I actually appreciate his
posts DESPITE my own long position. This is the kind of ridiculous bullishness you
could have seen on the Iomega boards before that stock got destroyed. The sheer
CONTEMPT for tonyt is pretty unbelievable. I think he's very valuable.

A little balance goes a long way.

He has no power to harm the stock and I have never seen him say anything about the
company that is factually untrue.

I guess this makes me a "moaner and groaner." I'm not moaning and groaning - I didn't
buy this stock thinking it was going to double in two weeks and flaming anyone who
doubts that LGND is a rocketship waiting for take off. The bulls on this stock are
completely ridiculous.

I am very bullish on the long-term prospects of this company, I chose what I feel is an
attractive entry point and I'm sticking it out without watching the tape.

bob, I think that you are correct. If volume tops 1/2 million, it will be the highest since the breast cancer data of 2/12/98:
