I've noticed the same thing.

I also don't see ANY reason for this thing to gap open 2 full points this morning. No news. No volume. And it seems to happen often.

It appears to be rather blatant manipulation by the market makers ...Has anyone talked with the SEC about situations like this?

I think the gap on the open was probably caused by shorts with tight stops, not any MM manipulation. Any upward trend will get magnified under that situation. I know that I for one got covered at open because of a stop. With the way this stock has been running its the only way to make money on the short side.
